"In life, the only thing that matters is a radical, total, and definitive change. The rest, frankly, is of no importance whatsoever."— V.M. Samael Aun Weor
We are the Los Angeles, California chapter of the Associação Cultural Gnóstica Samael Lakhsmi — a non-profit institution founded in 2008, with its international seat at the AEON 13 Monastery on Mount Olympus, Greece.
Our mission is the one shared by every chapter of the school: to transmit, faithfully and completely, the Gnostic teachings in the tradition of the Great Master Samael Aun Weor, who established the modern Gnostic Movement in the 1950s.
Here in Los Angeles, that mission becomes local — a place for people in Southern California to study, practice, and begin the work of a radical, total, and definitive change.
Gnosis means direct experience of the truth — not belief, not theory, but living knowledge of the Real. It is the practical science of awakening consciousness, transmuting energy, and dissolving the ego that is the root of our suffering.
The teachings are freely given. What is asked is not money or belief — only sincerity, and the willingness to do the work.
The complete path rests on three inseparable factors. Remove one and the triangle collapses.
The dissolution of the ego — the pluralized "I," the defects of anger, pride, lust, and fear — through self-observation and the help of the Divine Mother.
The creation of the Solar Bodies through the transmutation of the creative energy — the Second Birth, the vehicle through which the Being can manifest.
Compassion in action — the return of the awakened to help those who still sleep. Without this, the work turns selfish and the path closes.
The Los Angeles chapter exists to bring the work of the international school to Southern California — to gather the people here who feel there is more to life than what meets the eye, and who are ready to begin. Whether you are new to Gnosis or have studied for years, there is a place for you here. Enroll below to connect with the chapter and learn where and when we meet.
